Those who don’t recognize this odd sentence would be well-served to read about “All base are belong to us” at Wikipedia.
Meanwhile, contemplate the constitutionality of this:
- A Spanish citizen has a website hosted in the Bahamas.
- This person sells trips to Cuba to Europeans.
- This person makes the mistake of registering his web site domains using a police state-based, er I mean United States-based, domain registrar.
And the His successful non-U.S. business is brought to its knees by the Treasury Department, which demands that the U.S.-based domain registrar shut down his domains AND refuse to transfer them to a non-U.S. domain registrar.
And that’s exactly what they do. Without recourse of any substance.
Read the details in the NY Times. Unbelievable. Sort of.
